Bankruptcy Reform

You have probably heard in the media of the new "Bankruptcy Reform Act" which makes bankruptcy a far more difficult and expensive process for persons who are burdened with debt they cannot pay. The effective date of the new "Bankruptcy Reform Act" is October 17, 2005. Bankruptcy petitions which are filed by October 16, 2005 will be processed under the present bankruptcy code which is extremely favorable to debtors. If you or any member of your family or friends are burdened with debts they cannot pay, then you should consult with this office or an attorney familiar with bankruptcy no later than the middle of September to protect your rights or the rights of a person important to you.

Your credit and particularly your credit rating has become the ultimate measure of how you are valued in this society. Your ability to get a home, a job, a car, or even kitchen appliances is now totally dependant on your credit report and the all important credit score. You therefore have to be very aggressive in protecting your credit and the way it is reported by credit reporting agencies. There are fortunately strong and effective laws allowing you to get access to your credit information and correct it or upgrade it if appropriate. These laws include the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. I have extensive experience and a strong track record in helping people who have experienced unjustified credit denials. Any credit denial cannot be ignored. Even one credit denial is a sign that your credit rating has been compromised to the point that your ability to get the necessary things in life is now questionable. In addition, I have found that many credit denial letters sent by large financial institutions such as Chase Manhattan Bank have very serious technical and legal defects which may entitle you to legal damages and other legal relief. I will be glad to give a free legal consultation to any of my valued clients who have experienced credit denials and to advise them on their rights and ways to turn around and clear up a threatening situation.
